There is no other planet, this is it. As dramatic as that sounds, it’s the cold hard fact. Peace is not just the absence of war; it’s the practice, commitment and extension of dialogue, respect of persons, sovereignty of nations, and responsible care of the resources of our planet too.
It is up to each of us to create the homes, communities, institutions, governments and nations that will serve as a benefit for all to enjoy a full life and keep our resources within responsible limits so that future generations can enjoy the same.
The culture of peace emphasizes a value system that when consistently used, creates more peaceful societies.
How much do you know about the culture of peace? What have you done about it?
That’s what the People of Peace program is here for, to help you explore the culture of peace and the ways it impacts your life in a mutual learning environment, because, education processes matter.
